    Looking for Boot recommendation

Guys its been years since I hunted in NZ and I will be heading back over there next year to blow the cobwebs out of the rifle .
New boots are the first order of business and I have no idea of whats “Hot “ in the boot world these days .
All Im after is suitible boots to walk river flats and Beech forest , Im not going tops hunting or anything extreme .
Im sure someone will probably mention Bullers , but my days of wearing them pasted 20 years ago .
Whats a good walking boot that you would reccomend ?
What do you guys wear when your out for a stroll and not chasing monsters in the snow .

    Thanks

    Ken

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

I can get you New Tibets - dont think you will get cheaper in Aussie
    Not in Wide fit though

Plenty of size options in the ones Brian mentions above - New too
Also plenty of used Lowa-Meindl-La Sporiva-Scarpa-Hanwag

For bush hunting having a light pair of boots then I’d recommend Salomon 4D GTX Quest boots.

They’ve served me well, no break in required, light, super comfortable.

Another pair I’d look at are the Lowa Z6 or Z8 boots. A mate wears them and swears by them aswell.

I’ve used Meindl Island Pros & Tibet’s but what your wanting to do you’ll find these boots too heavy

For river flat/lowland bush just about anything from trail running shoes up will do the trick. Just buy something that is comfortable. Don't overthink it.

Sorry I havent been back to update this .
Shearer and Sidebyside ,after some thought I have gone down this road and bought a cheaper pair of boots here locally .
Where I live there isnt a great selection of Hiking/Hunting footwear avaliable to try on and definitely none of the higher quality known brands .
I have purchased the most comfortable boots of the ones I tried on and will wear them at work over the next few months to see how I like them and how well they stand up to abuse .

Just don't be stingy when it comes to the socks and you'll not go that wrong. A bread bag over each sock is a backup option but possibly unsuitable for serious gear junkies.
