Looking for recomendations on a 2man tent, boots and gaitors

I know some of these have been discussed but just wanting to see if there’s any more recommendations or experiences.

Boots- currently using some stones creek ones which have been ok but they are not waterproof whatsoever And don’t seem to offer that much support. Looking at spending around $500. Lowa? Which model

Tent- after a lightweight and compact 2 man tent. Currently using a warehouse one that is huge and heavy.

Gaiters- never owned a pair, open to suggestions.

    Thanks in advance

From personal experience I'd steer clear of Lowas but others will probably say they're great

What issue have you had with yours? And what boots are you using now?

The boot that fits the best (and meets your stiffness requirements)
    Sea to Summit quagmire canvas.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

The rand peeled away and the soles started coming off at the toe, same thing happened to a couple of mates pairs. I'm now using La Sportiva Karakorum Gtx boots, so far so good

You are not the first I have heard of that happening to with Lowas.

I haven’t had good experience with my lowas either. As for a tent, if you’re looking 4 season the Nemo kunai is great. Very compact, very good in bad weather, and you’ll struggle to find a 4 season tent that is much lighter without spending ridiculous amounts

@Sarvo will sort your boots...... warehouse tent huge n heavy????? well I use a huntech tube bivy thing..suits me to a TEE. gaiters...I buy mine off trademe for under $20 they are nylon and a bit scratch in bush...not drastic..velcro right up front so they actually stay up 95% of the time...cut rubber under boot strap off completely and squash hook at front onto correct bootlace and they wont ever move...when they wear out after 12mths or so of hard use...buy another pair.

Boots - love my Scarpas, @Sarvo usually has some good deals on euro boots or you could try these guys https://www.trampingbootique.co.nz/
Are you after stiff boots for alpine or more flexible for bush hunting ?

Doubt you could better the Wilderness Equipment second arrow tent for quality, price and weight ( 1.86 kg ).
Plenty of on line reviews for details .

Boots- I used to have lowas and they werent very good, comfy but the sole i wore down pretty quickly, i dont think the rubber was a hard enough compound for rocks scree etc so they last less than a year

Now i use the above mentioned La Sportiva Korakoram EVO gtx, find these to be awesome, however they are pretty stiff so wouldnt recommend unless your fulltime in the alpine,

Have also got a pair of Crispi nevada legends which i use on anything thats not my tahr hunting, so walking long distances along river beds etc, bush hunting etc, again these are awesome, light and waterproof, have had on the scree odd time and holding up very well

Mostly do bush hunting with the odd trip into more alpine environments. Cheers for the feedback so far!
