    Lowa Z6

Does anyone use the above boot for bush hunting.
Mainly if you have brought them in the past 2 years.
I had a pair about 6 years ago and spent more time on my bum than standing up they now tell me they have a new certified sole.

Ive been looking for good boots for a while, might be worth checking boots and gear site, he mentions the PU inner sole coming apart when stored damp (had a nice pair of Haix boots do it to me) and apparently lowa do not cover it in their warranty, put me off them anyway, was so disappointed when my Haix did it

The problem with me is I need size 16us and very few boots get made or come into NZ in that size.

You should change your handle to “Big Foot”.
Have a pair of Lowa Z6’s, mainly use them around our lifestyle block . Have used them on a couple of day hunts with 7-8kg in pack. Found my feet feeling tired & a bit sore by end of day. Would not want to be carrying a big load with the Z6

I stopped using them at work for the same reasons you mentioned about the slippery sole. That was a few years ago now though. I’ve got a pair of the Lowa Renegade at the moment and they seem pretty good for the same style of boot. Wider fit too if you find that better for your feet. Comfy.

Yes, I run a pair of Z6’s as I couldn’t get a pair of solomans & the Z6’s were cheaper so I figured I’d give them a run as a mate also uses and swears by them.

I also use a pair of Lowa Rangers for the Alps in winter, I like something lighter for the warmer months & these havnt disappointed.

With the Z6’s I replaced the factory inner sole and what a world of difference that makes as both meindl & Lowa supply their boots with what I consider crappy factory inner soles.

As for grip… I’ve had no issues to date but I’ve only had them for the past 8 months & still going strong so perhaps they may have changed grip in that time.
