M24 Sniper Rats Tail / Tail switch

    Hi there guys,

I have a M24 Sniper and love it. Hands down the best torch I have ever seen - and I own it. Rad.
Anyway - I purchased one of the tail switches (Linky) for it, and it is not quite what I want it to be.

It is a pressure switch, and after using it a bit, I realise now that I want it to be a button switch - stay on until turned off, not on until I take my finger off it.

Is there another tail switch on the market that has this functionality?

    Cheers,
    Scott.

Not as far as I'm aware. I'd be tempted to chop the pressure switch and throw in an on/off type switch.

Or just use light without remote switch?

    Thanks for the idea Gadgetman.
I guess I'll need to source the type of switch I want, and try and bribe someone to do it for me.
Would you be able to point me in the right direction?

Mudgripz - I have the light on a mount on top of my .17. I want to have a faster reaction time on the rabbits

    Cheers,
    Scott.

You could use just about any type of single pole single throw switch you like as long as it's rated for 2A or more..

    Thanks Gadgetman.
I'll see what I can find at Jaycar that might fit the bill.
    Thanks a ton!

Call me a simple bloke if you will but I just mounted mine so the end of the torch with the switch on it is close to my thumb on my trigger finger hand. I just reach up with my thumb and turn it on. I brought the pressure switch but it immedaly went into the drawer of doom to die.
