    Magellan vs garmin

Everyone seems to use garmin. I have seen some magellan GPS for sale. I already have an oregon 600.

But thought I'd see if anyone has any experience with other brands out of curiosity

My first GPS was a Magellan, it was somewhat useful, but didn't work under the canopy or in gullies. But I think that was due to the early technology and nothing to do with the brand, it was about 25 years ago. I haven't played with a modern Magellan.

Interesting. I've found glonass can be really good for under canopy
