    Maxtoch H01R review

Righto had this we head torch for a bit over a week now and am happy.
Dumbarse me just assumed it came with batteries, maybe something for @mudgripz to remind people about as it's not something I thought about as they all do these days. NOT HIS FAULT!

Well packaged and very prompt on the delivery even for someone like me with different delivery shit going on.

Rooted out the only battery I have around the place, put the system together and whacked it on charge via the system. Haven't charged it since and I work nights so very happy with that. I'm undecided so far on having to take the cap off to use the usb charger, hopefully there is spares on the shelf cause I can see me/us losing that but time will tell.

Easy to flick over to the red light and we do use that at times.

Headgear looks good and I like the bit of reflector on the back of it.
This next bit.is purely personal preference; I'm not a fan of.the strap over the top. The reason I'm not is I probably 98% of the time have the headlight around my neck. The reason for me is simple, night shooting shit can happen. If that puppy is around my neck I have light no matter what, the top strap makes that pretty much impossible (yeah yeah you can, but try it for 8 or 10 or 12 hours and get back to me) oh, headlights on heads just don't work with helmets.
Yes I'll take the knife to that but....

Overall very happy with it, good battery life and a nice beam and strength of light for fucking about camp n shit. Easily good enough to knock over possums with if that's your scene. Pleased i bought two, some bastard is always flogging or losing shit.around here!

    Yep good little unit.
You have official permission to mangle the strap by chopping bits off . Bottom line its gotta work 100% for you.

Yep will remember to ask about batts - usually do!
