The Maxtochs don't give batt trouble with right batts.
An issue for all torch makers is that the 18650 batteries now commonly used have changed alot over 3-4 years. They were 18mm wide and 65mm long - hence the name 18650s. In last couple of years however the batteries are alot bigger, more powerful, and are protected cells. This means they have grown to 18.5mm wide and often 69-70mm long. Means some new batts won't comfortably fit in some older torches which were designed for earlier shorter batts. Few things guys do to get round that.
The newer Maxtochs like the M24 Sniper and 2X Shooter are all designed longer for today's bigger 3400 protected buttontop batts.
