I've got an M1 Archer too ( only 1 of many Maxtochs) and it is very grunty. Being a single cell 18650 it doesn't have the runtime of the 2 cell torches at full noise, but you can run it on a low setting for general walking, then up it to big time for the shooting. Actually I'm not sure they still sell them Stagstalker. I think the M2 with the side switch instead of the tail switch on the m1 is the only Archer you can get now ?

I usually grab my big torch, but apart from being lighter, single cell torches have the added benefit that if you can find a stuffed laptop battery and pull it apart, you will have 5 or 6 usable 18650 batteries, since it it usually only 1 battery that is stuffed. Just watch them while charging and only use them in single cell torches since they wont have overload protection.

Be very careful doing this as laptop cells usually have a low current rating, using them in a torch that requires more current can be dangerous. Just remember, the cell is in a sealed metal cylinder and can explode if things go south. I've seen the aftermath of an explosion that blew a guys apartment window out.

I used to do this a couple years back but no longer take the risk.
