    Be very careful doing this as laptop cells usually have a low current rating, using them in a torch that requires more current can be dangerous. Just remember, the cell is in a sealed metal cylinder and can explode if things go south. I've seen the aftermath of an explosion that blew a guys apartment window out.

    I used to do this a couple years back but no longer take the risk.
