Alternatively you could bring some Haix in, I've ordered some direct from factory a couple of times. They have a 2nds store too, and sometimes there's good chainsaw safety boots in there for cheap. My last pair were only classed as 2nds due to blemishes on the leather!

I have a pair of Haix Trekker chainsaw boots which are pretty much like new and are too big for me if you want them/they fit? Size 11UK. Only want $150 for them.

Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

@JoshC how would you compare the Meindl forestry boot to the HIAX ? . Ive found some Meindls for $550 . Its still a lot of money but I now need the best boot for my ankle support . The Meindl is very supportive and have a mate that swears by them , 3 yrs hard use .

Yep meindls are a better and more comfortable boot. Lighter too. Haix have other models which may be more suitable. Hard to really say without you trying them on etc

eBay. £184 plus £20 ish for shipping. Search for Meindl Airstream Chainsaw Boot. Good high rand and closed cell midsole that shouldn't collapse like Makalus do.

Your ex-worker has a pair, he hunts in them

I don't have the forestry boots but I have ex German army Haix alpine boots and rate them well for support. When I rolled my ankle earlier in the year I had them on and was going for a 4km walk two days afterwards.
