I had a pair, good Boots.A bit hot in the Summer but you expect that.

What does a pair cost in New Zealand?

got two pairs and now have a pair of Lowa GTX. Himalayas are a bit stiff for me, are heavy and agree hot due to the high rubber edge (unsure what you call that). very much alpine boots

I had a pair and didn't like their tread pattern. Arsed up in a few dodgy spots that could have gone seriously pear shaped had I not been ready. I kept wearing them, they started deteriorating within a year of use (wearing them most days mind you). However, for a 700$ boot I expected more. I've owned various brand of boots that are half that price, comfortable and lasted just as well.

At the moment I have a pair of Bestard Cotos, Hanwag Alaskas, and some Garmont Pinnacles for hunting. Just got a pair of Stein chainsaw boots for day to day. I'm a forest manager, so out in the scrub several days a week. If I'm not working I'm hunting.
