Thread: Modern Packs

So, any feedback from users of these ‘modern packs’ on their waterproofness? As an old bugger the notion of your pack opening anywhere other than the top is hard to reconcile. Can’t stop looking at those long front and side zips …

I don't tend to hunt in the rain if I can help it but my Mystery Ranch has stood up to some good showers while hiking.
I've got a pack cover for if I get caught in some real snotty stuff but I honestly haven't felt the need to use it yet as the zips haven't let any moisture in that I could see

I have the stone glacier 5900. Waterproofing is pretty good but not great. In very wet conditions I use a pack cover, which works well.
