    MSR Hubba

Can anyone shed some light for me on this tent. Is it as light as listed? (1.3kg) You can get a 2012 model for $315 AUD with new tags and gear shed, good price?

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah its a single and I have had an olympus from macpac for years great tent but its heavy. Seeing I am not flying in NZ and dont have the freedom of free rides anymore I plan to do a bit more walking Seeing my boy is keen and ready I dont want him thinking its as easy as I have had it for a while.

I have a Hubba Hubba HP R93. It's pretty light. Carried it around Fiordland for 10 days chasing Waps and I rate it.

They're great. And yes they are that light. Would need to be careful where you pitch it though. The floor tub is pretty thin.

I've used it without the footprint 3 times in Fiordland and had no issues but I was concerned with weight as we were carrying everything on our backs for 10 days. Where are you staying in Oz R93?

I am in Caloundra Skinny. Work in the Surat Basin.

The Hubba Hubba it is. Cheers Guys. Dunno about the foot print yet, I am fussy as to where I pitch me tent and have not hole a floor yet.
