I've used it without the footprint 3 times in Fiordland and had no issues but I was concerned with weight as we were carrying everything on our backs for 10 days. Where are you staying in Oz R93?

I am in Caloundra Skinny. Work in the Surat Basin.

The Hubba Hubba it is. Cheers Guys. Dunno about the foot print yet, I am fussy as to where I pitch me tent and have not hole a floor yet.

I've got a Hubba one man and yes it weighs about 1.4 kg from memory.
Used it on a wet weekend on the west coast and it was fine, but you need a ground sheet under the tub.
My buddy was under a tarp and looked miserable

Get the footprint R93. You can pitch the footprint and fly only (no inner) make a great quick shelter. The fly and footprint combo is so light I even carry it in a daypack if the forecast looks dodgy. Also good for summer camping unless you go to a sandfly spot...

I will, thanks mate. I just cant decide on the Hubba or Hubba x 2. I like whipping up to the tussock just for a night here and there. The Hubba may suit me better that way.
Do what ya want! Ya will anyway.

    I got a Hubba HP.

175 cm tall, works for me, space between the inner and fly for gear... If it is only going to be you in the tent, I'd get the single, unless you are the size of a AB front rower
