My son has spotted this on Amazon NZ$650 landed here on special
Or the four season MST access at $707.00 landed
I guess the Access is a more 4 season tent? any thoughts appreciated

I think the Naturehike Mongar 2 is about 500g heavier than the Hubba Hubba I believe(freestanding), so if weight is of a concern the MSR is the way to go.
I don't walk far enough to worry about weight too much so have the Mongar 2 and so far so good with it.

I have had a Hubba Hubba 2 person for about 5 years now, I have never camped Alpine but it has done all I have asked of it year round in the central north island.

I have no real comparisons, but I am very happy with mine.

Mongar 2 comes in a few different fly weights. Can't remember what mine is but it's 1.8kg 330gram difference for a $400+ difference. (Mongar 2 landed was $220nzd) Had it in some shit weather with no issues. There's heaps of videos on YouTube of people putting them to the test. I only use it for the roar when my brother joins me, for solo I've got a durston xmid 1.

Thank every one, I met a round the world cyclist in the molesworth recently who had been using a Nature hike for the last 10 months all though centeral asia etc and he rated it very highly espically in the rain and wind. food for thought, thanks again

I have the Hubba Hubba 2 and the solo version, both for around 7/8 years ( first model ) both have been used extensively in all weather conditions and have held up perfectly
