I'm keen on getting a new folding knife, i like these two.
Gerber Gator ATS-34
or
Eka Swede 10
Have heard quite good things about each of them. Keen to hear thoughts from anyone who has one or the other or both?

Gator mate, next two my sako it's the 2nd thing I grab:)
I own a couple of the swedes. My favourite is similar but has the swinging blade used for gutting and is bloody good skinning as well.
That gator is the bees knees as well. Just that my old man has pinched mine that's all. [emoji15]
I like the swede best[emoji818]️
Eka swing;) its the bizo
I don't like the Gerber handle shape nor do I like the Skandi grind in the Eka. Of the 2 the Eka has the nicer steel. What do you want it to do?
well you did kind of walk into that one KJ :)
True.
Anyway back on topic. Benchmade are well priced

James, whats the knife at the bottom?
It's an ESEE Zancudo by RAT
It's a bit smaller than the two you started off with but it's my EDC at the moment. AUS-8 steel is good, made in Taiwan by BRK for Knifeworks. Liner locker with a belt cliphttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/08/14/jedymuba.jpg
just wait till the forum knife turns up
Yes it is a nice drop point. I picked it up on a whim with another order I made for the two Spyderco's. Not bad for a $27USD knife. It takes a very keen edge easy, and does not need much work to touch it up. I use it daily so it gets a quick strop or steel around once a week. The bigger brother Avispa may be better for butchery with a 3.5" blade rather than the 3" Zancudo. The orange nylon handles are exclusive to Knifeworks IIRC. Mine has broken down cardboard boxes, courier bags, de-burred copper pipe and peeled a fair few oranges. No deer yet!
Sounds good, and great value, I might give the Avispa a go I think. Cheers
If you are after Gerber, I can recommend the GAME PRO FOLDING HUNTER. It makes and excellent pocket sized skinning and break down knife.

I have a little Eka folder in my bumbag as a emergency spare, have used it to headskin a couple of animals.
Holds an edge well.
