New hunting boots sound like jandels.

I bought myself a great fitting pair of Irish Setter hunt boots. But every step I take the boots make a pop sound. When my foot leaves the ground. I can't sneak anywhere in the bush with these.

I thought it was the Innersoles. But I hear the sound when they're removed as well.

I've been on three good days of walking and hunting and they make noise the whole time.

I bought them six weeks ago from the Centrefire store in Dunedin just as it was closing down for good. $300 something down from $500 something.

I've written to the manufacturers but.....crickets.

Any suggestions on how to fix them? Have you experienced this?

You can get in touch with the fulla from centre fire if need be. He's still in business just getting rid of the physical store and keeping the online store.

    Snoseal on the leather

Just be warned the leather will stretch a little. I need thick socks now when I wear mine

Mine never squeaked etc but the first sole did delaminate. Replaced foc.

I replaced the inners with decent gel inners too

Is the sound coming from the sole? Arch, toe or heel?

The sound comes from the ball of the foot. I had a long chat with the importers yesterday. Good people. They suspect the boots are very old. On the store shelf for years. The layers in the sole may be delaminating and separating. They've asked me to send the boots to them so they can check them out (and also be sure I wasn't sold Chinese knock-offs). Thanks for the useful input guys.
