New knife and hybrid kydex/leather sheath

So heres the latest knife I have made and its for sale, its a good one, it also has the prototype of a new sheath I have made: its got the main body made out of kydex (in hunters orange), this gives you the security, safety, durability and robustness of kydex, whilst the belt loop is made out of leather. In addition I have made it a true ambidextrous sheath, its set up for right hand carry at the moment but all you need to do unscrew two screws and you can swap the side the leather is on to make it left hand carry...

Anyway here's some pictures and Ill put the specs at the end, oh, the pictures make the blade look like it has spots on it, most of these have now been polished off.

So its got a 12.5 cm (5 inch) drop point blade with a 11.5 cm (4.5 inch) ergonomic and virtually indestructible micarta handle on orange G10 liners, held in place with marine epoxy, two brass and stainless steel loveless bolts and a stainless steel lanyard tube.

The blade is made from O1 tool steel, 4mm thick, professionally heat treated and double tempered to a rockwell C hardness of 59, meaning it will take a very sharp edge (it has), hold that edge and be field sharpen-able with the included steel. Its been hand polished to 1200 grit.

The blade is hefty enough to handle any light chopping you may need to do to set up a camp but with the drop point shape will skin and butcher any furred critter you care to bag, from rabbit to Reds!

The hybrid kydex/leather ambidextrous sheath (say that three times fast) has an included French stainless steel on the side, holds the blade in place with a friction fit on the handle but a slight space around the blade to avoid scratching it, has some extra lashing points, and because the belt loop is leather and has some flex to it you can sit down without getting a handle stuck in your side. Of course you can also unscrew it and attach a tec-loc or paracord for a different carry set up.

I have a few other custom knives near completion as well, and am happy to make a knife to your specifications, or can make a kydex sheath for your existing knives.
