    Night Vision equipment

I am looking into purchasing a thermal imaging hand held minocular, and an IR Night vision scope, or possibly a thermal scope.

Anyone on the forum used a Pard TA 32 hand held thermal, and if so is it worth while, or do I need to spend more to get good performance ?

Anyone on the forum used a Pard DS 35 Infrared Night vision scope, or should I be looking at a thermal scope instead ?

I have one of the new model TA32-35 with the LRF. Nice compact piece if kit that gives good resolution and runs on 18650 batteries. The 35mm model has a base mag of 3.8x so really good for longer range use.

Touch base at nightvision.co.nz and I’ll sort a forum deal.
We have several models from Sytong that would be ideal but best to discuss your needs first and establish best tool for the job. Last you thing we want to see is you spending a large amount on a product that doesn’t have the correct FOV, mag or resolution for the type of hunting you do.

Good advice. I second that, there is a big variation in FOV, base mag and resolution between models. Much of this is not exactly obvious if you are buying for the first time.

As said above, touch base with Night Vision NZ. Between our crew we have several makes and models of night vision and thermal. A couple of "leading brands" have terrible wait times on repairs. Send away 3 units in the last 12 months for repair and 4 months was the quickest turn around.
Also have both sytong and conotech stuff. Zero issues whatsoever and it has been thrashed. Conotech handheld has exceptional battery life. If there was an issue with this stuff I'm sure you would be better looked after than with the main brands.
