If I was going agin I would get Bluetooth though, not getting tangled is worth losing a little sound quality, plus I reckon after a few to many loud bangs my hearing is not top notch anyway.
I was looking into noise cancelling as well a while ago but will hold off a while, Bose do seem to be kings but there are a few other worthy contenders, like Parrot, do the research and try before you buy!

I brought some sennheiser momentum in ear earbuds and they completely changed my music experience. I also ordered some comply foam earbuds for them which means they block out more external noise. Now when I go to the range I wear these under earmuffs which both cuts our more noise and means I can listen to music.
