When i worked in the Yukon i had a pair of ankle high booties built of similar material to a croc. They had no holes and so were waterproof. Were the bees knees for a camp/hut boot. Could wear sock in wet grass and plod around on snow ect
Wondering if anyone knows of a similar item..

Have found a few pairs of cutoff gumboots at huts around the place, get one with a lighter sole (and not steel caps with the top cut to low as you keep losing them) if you go this route
a lot heavier than wanted. had a look at short gumboots in the warehouse the other day. want to be the kind of thing that you dont notice is there. the ones i had were the same weight as crocsQuote:
