    bright orange is perfectly ok as would be bright blue...if its pissing with rain,you unlikely to be stalking along stealthily...and if you so shoot an animal,youve got a bright bit of cover to stick on outside for the walk home.... bigger is better as allows it to wrap right around better,but you can also get away with a smaller one only covering top 2/3rds of pack.
