    Pants / shorts

Been looking for ages for pants or short with waterproofing on the bum to not get wet when you seat in the bush. I’m not talking about a rain pant I have one of these they are too noisy…

Not even sure if what I have in mind actually exist on the market

Cut a bit of closed cell foam to fit inside your daybag.pull that out to sit on,far better idea, dry bum shorts all good in theory but not so good in practice.

I have both, bushbuck do dri seat shorts, actually a pretty good product and good price when on special.
I also carry a square of foam I cut off one of those folding sleeping mats (really good if it's a bit cold or your sitting on hard rocky ground.

Otherwise, take some scissors to your wife's yoga mat. She won't mind.

That would defeat the purpose, I carry a piece of Eva mat which work well. Was just thinking getting rid of one thing to carry around

I did just that ..... and it ended up at the end of the day, who's needs were greatest. The dogs or mine I can't remember the number of the times I ended up on the Punga fronds

Yup I run a cut down foldable mat, about 1/3 of a cheap foldable mat. Dry seat pants a bit hopeless , too hot. Also you mat is a good back up in case your air mattress pops. Had that happen once and at 0 degrees , not fun. The mat would have been handy to have then.
The mat is good for standing on outside the tent or kicking back outside your tent. Weighs nothing.
