There is no compulsory fucking around with a Android phone these days. Type in your gmail address and password and bang everything is there and working. All your apps, all your mail and contacts.
A lot of things actually work better e.g. I tried to upload a moved from iMovie to you tube. Doesn't work. Much frustration and googling and eventually worked out that you have to go into your google account and change the settings to allow insecure apps to access youtube.
You click on a location in a e-mail on iOs and it takes you straight to useless Apple Maps whereas what you really want is google maps.
iOS 8.0 broke bluetooth audio streaming for gods sake. Thats not a small or unused feature.
After the latest iOS update dropbox stopped working on my sons ipad. No error message or anything, you just click on it and the app closes.
I am not saying apple is a invalid choice but the "it just works" thing is a myth. It's software and all software has bugs. If you use the google services then the operating system that google releases will always have tighter and more seamless integration with google services.
