I've been using a cheap galv bucket the last few years. Squished it a little out of round to fit the skull better.

"Hit The Deck" (a Wet and Forget product)) is fantastic for bleaching skulls. 4 scoops in a bucket, leave for 3 days, repeat.Name: 20250331_134534.jpg

The hair dye did nothing. 2 applications, each for 1hr.
Guessing I did something wrong.. was I not meant to mix the colour creme with the developer emulsion? Maybe colour crème only?

you may well have the wrong chemical its not hair dye you want its the chemical they use to bleach hair - google bleaching skulls and that will give you the right chemical to get and how to use it - off the top of my head its peroxide

12 gallon drum with the top cut out will work on a 3 or 4 ring burner so you can control the temperature

I said it before - Hit the Deck is the business for this. Just use hot water in a bucket, add the powder and mix. Leave the skull in for about 3 days, then repeat.
It has an oxidizer and surfactant in the mix, and is far easier to use than peroxide.
It usually only takes 2 treatments, but a third may be necessary if there is a lot of oil in the bones.
