I haven't done any yet but I'd say white spirits/shellite and just use nylon parka from the local fabric shop. Let it air out for a couple of days in the Wellington breeze or our nice moderate Easterly. Would be a good way to revive something that has given good service, still structurally sound but not quite as water tight as it used to be.
