Reserving judgement on them for the time being. Ate several last weeekend - they taste allright.
They don't seem to have chunky bits like the BackCountry ones - more of a soup.
The apple and berry ones are quite sweet - like a thick smoothy but perfectly edible.
They claim to have more protein, fats, carbs and other nutrients and even fibre than other dehy per weight - not sure how that's possible but someone with a spreadsheet might be able to tell us.
They only use 200 or 250mL water per packet unlike two serve BackCountry which are 500mL.
Packaging is a bit more compact which is a bonus.
The "Expedition" range looks best for hunting.
Message to dehy food manufacturers -
PLEASE put on the outside in large letters that a 60 year old can read by candle light:
Volume of boiling water (typically hidden in small myopic teenage sized print among other data)
Net Weight
Whether any subpackages inside or any inedible preservative packs to be removed before adding water.
Any "freeness" eg gluten, dairy, nuts.
