    Really tall thin gun safe

Can anyone point me in the direction of a small thin very tall gun safe for me to store my bloody awkward to store muzzleloaders

    Something 260 wide
I need a minimum of 1550mm height inside for the longest

Or buy one if someone has one they don't need

    Longest barrel is 42" !
Several in the slightly more manageable 32" range

They are a pain to store but nice to shoot

BARONET do some nice safes. Made in NZ. Maybe to pricey? They may have a model suitable.

    Nice safes
For the width I want it would have to be a custom build. In which case I could maybe buy a tig welder (been meaning to do that for ages ) and build one myself for the same price

Even with half a spatula but for the moment it is cheap and local to the OP and would probably meet our laughable standards hence why I suggested it

How about buying the narrowest tall safe you can find and just cutting the middle out of it and mig/tiging it back together.

@Husky1600#2 that's actually a bloody good idea if I can find something cheap and cheerful thats tall enough

It's the hinges and hardware that are a pain if you make your own

Make one out of steel box section or tube. Use a locking end cap and poke the guns on from the end.
    Overkill is still dead.

    Seriously?
I have two 3.6 meter lengths of steel tube. 8mm wall by 1.8 meter diameter.
I'm really envious if you have two many guns for that amount of storage.
    And you can't have them.
I was going to use them for culverts, but they may be useful for "other" things.

@7mmwsm Yeh sure I wasn't really thinking of using a steel culvert pipe ... my collection isn't that out of control

But if you had enough of those culvert pipes I could build an underground rifle range

A room of stout construction? Be a bit pricey though
