Can anyone point me in the direction of a small thin very tall gun safe for me to store my bloody awkward to store muzzleloaders
Something 260 wide
I need a minimum of 1550mm height inside for the longest
Or buy one if someone has one they don't need
Longest barrel is 42" !
Several in the slightly more manageable 32" range
They are a pain to store but nice to shoot
BARONET do some nice safes. Made in NZ. Maybe to pricey? They may have a model suitable.

How about buying the narrowest tall safe you can find and just cutting the middle out of it and mig/tiging it back together.
Make one out of steel box section or tube. Use a locking end cap and poke the guns on from the end.

You will need some luck in finding a safe that is taller than 1550mm
since the standard sheet (metal) size is 4' then 5'.

Another option is you could cut the top compartment divider and you might get 1580mm diagonally.

1220x2400 sheet will give you a folded safe 400x400 by whatever tall you need. It's really easy to do hinges and frame, I can give you a drawing for it. Also, don't bother with tig for this job mig is the best fastest cleanest option and even arc/mma is easier and faster than tig. Whatever you'll end up with in terms of sheet or plate, it'll be 4mm thick at the minimum and you'll probably end up using a 6mm sheet which will give you enough for the three sides, the door with one join and then with some angle iron the door's frame.
Or get a safe that is the width and depth you want, cross-check it with available steel SHS eg

Buy a metre, cut a hole in the bottom of the safe and weld a piece of plate on the bottom of the SHS then poke the top of the SHS through the floor of the safe and weld it up
It will only have a door in the top half or 2/3 but you'll be able to feed them in ok
Will look odd but hey, don't we all?
Couple of sheets of steel or aluminin checka plate will get you anysize you what.
