Rifle Sling - non slip, maybe a loop to hold

    Hey team,

What slings are we all using? I have a few and find them all a pain in the arse. I often hunt the bush without it on but nice to throw on for the walk out etc.

Ones I have slip off the shoulder, one has a pissy little loop that cant even fit my pinky in, figured the loop could be handy to rest a hand or hook a thumb in when walking.

Don't know what I am missing to be fair, not much of a sling person. Also not interested in some heavy or tachticool version either.

    Whats good?

neopreme all day long.... stays on shoulder, got a bit of give in it which helps if bangstick is heavy and they dont roll up and become narrow to dig into shoulder.

Not a sling guy either but when needed I have a Niggeloh which is the best I've used.

Same I was sceptical but the Niggeloh slings are so much better than any other neoprene sling I've tried. They stay put on your shoulder and seem to have just the right amount of give to make carrying a slinged rifle as comfortable as it can be.
Try one if you can borrow ond I'm sure you'll be impressed and if not at least you haven't outlaid the clams, or if you buy one and don't like it sell it to me

I concur, Niggeloh is way ahead. Loop the forward end on the barrel not the stud ( throw stud away ). Niggeloh has a bit of stretch that absorbs shock so it wont bounce off your shoulder. I have four of them.

not a sling man but I do carry one for use on quads and horses - one sits in buffalo bag ready for use - I have two Uncle Mikes mountain slings - light around an inch wide - easily adjustable - tough and well made - totally recommend - but I understand they are not under that name anymore but still made by another company

The bushbuck one is well priced (on sale which are every 6 days or so) and well made and is neoprene.

I have three as they are the best. With the forward end looped on the barrel and not on a sling stud the rifle can be carried muzzle down or muzzle up over one shoulder or over both easily - sort of sliding adjustment. Rifle sits low with low centre of gravity and doesn't swing around the way they can slung off a stud.

Just seeing if there was one that someone didnt need. I would prefer sling studs myself.
