Thread: Rinho or 62s?

Was very impressed with VCs unit finding my cray pots , so have been saving up . I see h&f are selling rinho for $350 so works out Cheaper than 62 s once adding $ 200 for maps . Why ?

You can make maps with a card reader thingy

Have a look and fiddle with a rino.
I haven't but was told they are bulky and heavy but that is only what i was told.

I use topo maps I sourced for free in my 60csx, have a look on the net they shouldn't be too hard to find for the newer units.

Had a play with mates Rino on a couple of hunts now. Yes, they are quite bulky, but they do what they say they do. But, so does my 62s, and I personally prefer to carry a seperate radio rather than relying on one item of electronics that may shit itself. The Rino is supposed to allow you to find and track to your mates on screen, but this seems to be reliant on your mate activating the radio in order for you to see their posi. I say it seems to be the case, as I havent played with one enough to prove it one way or the other.
If someone knows different, let me know

Done deal rino , it was , now does any one in ch ch have a chip I can borrow Untill I Buy my chip . As I'm heading away into hills from early afternoon today till Sunday

Card reader on a pc then copy to a blank sd card,don't quote me but I'm sure you can
Copy most maps once
Need to ask an expert but Have herd some powerful radios fry some GPS

My screen won't work with wet fingers and phones don't seem to like getting wet .
