    Roaring horn

The highland beasts horn has duely been converted into a voice amplifier and seems to sound ok. So how do you folks find is best to carry the jolly things??? Just tucked into shirt sucks so a string around neck seems next best option.delima is....do I poke string through horn and put up with it through mouth end?? Or drill two small holes and inch or so back don horn and thread cord through so it hangs downwards when not in use??& Keeps mouth end clean...haven't carried on in years and finally got decent sized horn to use so want to get this right.already bit pissed as hollow went much further than I thought so could've had it slightly longer than I have.

I'd drill the small end about an inch from the end but off-center so string sits at bottom when using.

MD @Gibo made a stunning horn a chunk of time back that was every bit as good as the lures he makes and as I recall, he posted some pictures on here. Try and find that thread and lay eyes on what he did or as I have just tagged the bugger, he may pop up and tell you.

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Do the two small holes and have it so that the wide end sits down closer to your hip. I have one as well and I find it doesnt get in the way at all

I have the same issue, bloody thing, try as you might to keep the noise down, it’s like dragging a tin bucket through the scrub. A mate shot a steer with bloody great horns

I been carrying mine for years, drilled small hole in wide end to poke string through, on narrow end where horn is thicker just filed a groove around the circumference so string would set in place a and tied a cinch knot. Has never looked like coming undone yet. Only problem is every now and then I knock it against rifle although that's normally only when clambering through the thick stuff anyway.

I gave away five cows horns on this forum and and the only thing I mentioned was that pictures would be good when finished.
To date I have not seen one picture. Has anybody finished one?

Well I went with two holes inch apart about two inches from narrow end. String knotted inside horn.it hangs down and the curve goes round my puku nicely lol
