Ok so I know a little about Vodafone and messaging. There HQ is just down the road and we have a few of there top tec staff as neighbours.
Yes it’s not Garmin but I’d think it’s a similar set up and this is why you might be getting the delay in messages getting through.
So Vodafone and others use a data dump. They find it cheaper or easier to send them as a bunch of messages than each one individually.
Sorry can’t remember the exact details but it’s along those lines. Might answer the question. How many with just your normal phone have had this. I’ve had some good old, “yes I sent you a text honey”...the best one was some jokes where you send the first one and the punchline next except the punchline turns up first like
