Thread: Scope got moisture in it

Asking on behalf of my husband, he purchased a scope for $349 new with his 270.
He went out about a month ago and it rained. The scope got some moisture in it and fogged up. He’s dried it out a bit but it has water marks in it and he’s written it off as useless.
I know it’s a cheaper scope being only $349 but surely it shouldn’t have got moisture in it if the seals were good and it should still be covered under warranty? (we don’t have reciept).
Seems a waste to bin it...
