Has anyone seamed sealed a tent or bivvy?
My Hunt-tech Bivvy seam tape is peeling off other than that it's in perfect nick so I reckon it's worth trying to fix.

Mines doing the same ,be interesting to see if it is repairable.
Tried giving it a gentle iron? With baking paper or similar over top? Had a jacket that was doing it (cut them out and dedicated it non waterproof...) of course someone suggested this idea a few days after I got out the scissors

50/50 boiled linseed oil and white spirits. Paint onto/into seam. Hang to dry for 3 days, air for another two for the smell to go.
Traditional waterproofing.
I put my jacket in the drier at the Toby shoot last year, all the seams peeled off. I called Twin Needle and he was happy to do it. A full jacket was about $2-250. I'd say a bivy would be a lot less.
In saying that, under his advise he said just wear it and see if it leaks. It doesn't :D
@winaa Some (maybe all?) Macpac tents have to be seam sealed and they supply a tube of sealant with the tent.

Silicon and mineral spirits 50/50 for a paint able seal.
Seam tape otherwise. Can get heat andf apply stuff if needed. Id just paint the silicon on myself
My Huntec bivey started to leak a little on the last trip I used it so I have some seam sealer to try, the tape is still holding athe moment but I was getting a few drips coming in. My old great outdoors tent had the same problem the tape peeled off that's how it still is stuffed I would think. There must be a use by date before the tape starts coming off.

Get 300 mils of mineral spirits and squirt in a cup full of your favourite RTV shake the shit out of it untill it turns to a liquid ( it takes a while ) and TA DA!!
Liquid seam sealer. Pitch tent or whatever it is nice and tight then apply to seams with a brush ( small brush looks tidier )
