Years ago I knew a bloke who culled goats for Doc , he traveled miles through rough terrain in all sorts of weather and conditions .
To say he travelled light was an understatement all he carried each day was a large bum bag and even then he complained about the extra weight and inconvenience .
He used to shake his head at my little backpack and say we are here to hunt not relocate to a new town .
I watch youtube vids of guys these days carrying a 70 litre pack for a day trip I cant imagine what he would say about that .
Travel as light as you can safely .
A mate does that. Still surprising how many deer he gets cos I'd be noisy as hell
