Thread: Sharpener edge test

I'd be keen to see how you test them. You tube is full of guys sharpening their knives and shredding paper like thats the measure of a sharp knife. Yet I saw a another guy on there forge a knife with a very basic backyard set up sharpened it and went out and chopped down a few small trees then shaved some hair, sliced some fruit etc. way more impressive to me. I guess it's about getting the correct bevel too, convex or concave.
