    shooting glasses

    dose anyone use any sort of bifocal shooting glasses ,i am using reading glasses to read as my close in vision is not so good but far away is ok ,guess that's what getting old does to your vision,my problem is i can see the target clearly but the sights on my pistol are fuzzy ,so i am guessing its time for some glasses and is there any standard set i can get from a store
    thanks

    Have you got really short arms?

    I can relate. My optometrist is a pistol shooter. She spent ages sorting me out some contacts. Worked really well for a bit but now my sights are blurry and my distant vision is good. No problem with a rifle but anyone that looks thru my scopes say they are out of focus.

    I have wore just one contact lately in my left eye and that seems to help.

    I haven't got the heart to tell her I am all buggered up again coz she put the time in to sort it.
    Getting old sucks.

    @paulbrady,

    For pistol shooting, FORGET, UNLEARN, REJECT what you were taught about focusing on the front sight post, what with rear notch and target blurred. Focus on your target!

    Or you could get some reading glasses sort of arrangement cobbled together by your optometrist that enables you to see your target nicely blurred again.... DUH!

    And that's how it is.
