    Shooting Sticks

Shooting Sticks...... Who uses them and what?

Bipods ok for prone and when got lots of time to set up, but for standing shots shooting over brush/scrub or even when shooting downhill, a stick could be beneficial.
Seen a couple that I thought would be ideal.
Vanguard Scout M62 monopod and a Primos Trigger Stick.
The Scout is a fully manual operation whereas the Primos has a trigger release system. Only drawback with the Primos is it doesn't close up very much.
Seen some use a collapsible stick as a standing rest by putting the stick into your hip for offhand support. Need to get the length just right though.

I have tried those tent pole bungy things and they just don't work.

Something sturdy enough to be used as a walking/hill stick as well as rifle support.

    Any thoughts fellas?
