    the middle one.....you can buy new..green river bushmans friend...or H$F sell a knifecut take off of it as rabbiters knife (cheaper) they have really good blade shape with small piece out of back of blade....that was knife I started out with 40 years ago and recently gone back to.....ideal for most uses for me....

    and that is a seriously good photographthe ?Damascus??? blade underneath reminds me of hydrographs ..cant for life of me think which movie starts with scene out of focus in tan colour...just like pattern on that blade. trick of light but those two blades almost look to be joined just up from hilt...a thing of beauty.

    I wanted to make something different for the wife and over the Christmas period. Settled on a Japanese style Nakiri kitchen knife. My first crack at working with stainless Damascus also.
    Turned out ok, wife loves it.

    That's a lovely bearded axe! Skegox from memory. I've been keeping an eye out in the local dump shops for a semi decent axe head to attack with a grinder and make a kindling version.
