Another bird and trout from my workbench. Steel is 440c, blade lenght 8 cm. Handle Cocobolo, sheath 3mm cowhide.
Hope you like it! Thanks for looking!
Future Wifey came through with the goods last month . I had a Muela many moons ago which vanished (along with the then gf) and last year we gifted one to a keen hunter and friend for her 50th.
They don't seem to be overly popular here in NZ but in Europe they've an almost cult like status, personally I think they're the dogs danglies so I was well pleased to get this one. Looking forward to getting it wet, they're a joy to use , it will only be used for dressing carcasses, I've a Martinni for more "general" use
Yep, I am great fan of the trailing Point.

A @Micky Duck filleting knife sheath attempt.
I needed something to protect the fillleting knife blades in the cupboard, so out with the heat gun, some uv resistant conduit, and some clamps.
They clip in and hold pretty well.

Lucky enough to pick this up. A mint, Puma Cougar Hunter which has been kept in its box its whole life.
I hope I'm not ruffling any feathers here but I have a couple of knives that need sharpening asap, without the knowledge is there anyone in ChCh that sharpens knives for a job that could be recommended?. Once they are done I can look into a device that I can do then myself....or find a butcher who can teach me.
It's just another learning curve to master .
@Twodiffs
If you are not into sharpening yet, I can highly recommend a Lansky sharpening tool. This is a good starting point and you will soon get good results!
