    Two new knives.
Mora Kansbol multi mount and Mora Eldris neck knife kit which includes the fire starter.
Both intended as camp utility knives primarily instead of using hunting knife for basic camp chores.
Im spending a lot of time in the bush and not really having to shoot many animals, so decided utility rather than pure hunting was a better option.

The pair together. Both clip into sheath and also have a safety domed keeper.

    Kansbol has full moulded grip.
    Multi mount base.
Nice size and looks perfect for around the camp and will test on a deer soon.
Nice stainless steel and awesome looking grind.
Sharp from factory but will be scary sharp soon.

Eldris neck knife kit is very small and handy.
Includes fir starter and the back of the knife blade is square for using on the fire steel.
Throws an awesome spark that smoulders for ages.
Only 50mm blade but Im expecting to find a lot of uses for it, especially whittling odds and ends.

So one month on I have had a chance to butcher a deer with each of the mora knives.

I cut up a small red stag on the Westcoast a few weeks ago with the Mora Kansbol. That's the bigger utility knife.
It was ideal for that job and has also been used around camp on a couple of trips.
Couldn't be any happier with it especially for a longer multi day trip.
Good sharp edge and held up well over a number of days doing lots of different tasks.

The tiny little More Eldris got a good work out yesterday evening.
I wanted to see how it would deal with a big task being a small knife.
This one was certainly a good test being a fairly decent sized stag, which it dealt to with ease.
Maybe a little short if you aren't so experienced.
But I found it very easy to use for a big job once I got used to both my hands being so close together with that ultra short blade.
It even dealt with the back straps nicely and my dog carried them home in her saddle bag pack. 10kg load.
This knife would be ideal for a light and fast minimalists alpine hunt.
