I have my granddads hunting knife, his is Sheffield England and identical to yours but its a bit longer than yours and hell its sharp. Id say from the same era, 40's, 50's when he was a young fella

AnotherHunter, that pig sticker looks to good to use on a pig.
Have you made that folder from scratch, is it a re-blade of an existing folder?
hi bremic , yes , I made the folder from scratch . it is a linerlock . The liners are titanium which is a mongrel to work with . I haven't got a mill so just a drill press and handtools. I have made a few folders but they are very time consuming and each time I swear I will never make another ;)

Looking at some of the old Sheffield blades, this is a old William Rogers " I cut my way " I have been renovating , just ground the blade to 30% for cutting. I did not want to polish the blade, just remove the rust, Not sure of the date of manufacture, 50s 60s ?
The large german folding is unusual.

John, William Rodgers made a fair burn Sykes for the military , looking at that blade, they made some hunter types as well, love it.
That folding knife above is called a dague A la d'estaing
Google the name and you will find many different models with the folding guard which is an original feature.
Friwi
Thanks Fiwi I learnt something new tonight its proper name. The third down is a Marbles and there was a very nice Dague a la d'estaing made by them in the images.
