Just picked up two new knives from the makers , the steel is AEB-L, hornbeam handles, with the curve of the handle and blade, it follows the palm of your hand with your finger on the blade tip to open up the bellys.

Got them for two friends in the USA as this maybe the last time I see them for a long time if my immigration to NZ comes through.:thumbsup:
I have read a bit about AEB-L. Similar to 13c26, and very similar to the stainless used by Mora. AEB-L is said to take a razor edge.Quote:

Picked up this wee CRKT Obake (or-bar-key) last week, really nice japanese inspired design by Lucas Burnley with an acid etched blade.
Overall length about 17cm, faux rayskin handle with resin impregnated paracord.
So far has opened the shit out of some cardboard boxes and overall very happy with it for $85.
I needed a going out knife ,small , friendly looking with a bottle opener for those ever present Beer bottles that seem to follow me around .
So got this from the USA , my mate liked it so much he ordered one as well and bent my arm and ear until I made a sheath for him .
He gave me a long list of what he wanted in his ultimate sheath .
I purposely did none of them .
Ya get what ya get , and ya don't get upset :)

Here's one I made for a knife I inherited from my father who died earlier this year .
The knife was given to him , or bought by him ( no ones exactly sure ) when he was 21 , he died at 81 .
This knife will only be carried by me on special family occasions .

Not a knife but I got this recently .
Its a Carcass Splitter Axe-Cleaver from a slaughterhouse .
It's the biggest cleaver I've ever seen , 28 inches long .

I have the same one @BRADS and love it. Sometimes I think it is a little too big for my liking, then I use it again and love it. Needs a better sheath than the basic one they come with though.
Well @Bryan and @BRADS if you ever want a better sheath let me know, Can also add a steel holder and have a nice steel that would go nice with them too, just started putting small bits of deer antler on them 2. Had a couple made by a mate and will do some myself soonQuote:
