Wow that's a beautiful knife, but I think you might need to check into "Knife collectors Anonymous"
Ooh got an email from KSF they were doing those. Very pretty. I didn't think you were a Scandi man though @Tahr

The good thing about this James is that the Bark River scandi grind is convex so its not difficult to sharpen with a strop.
The handle is quite thick and will suit bigger hands.
I hope to butcher a deer with it over the next few days :)
Oneshot, yes it is a bit of a fetish. But I can't drink nowadays, so I need something to feed my compulsive personality. :)
Happy new year to everyone!
Managed to break the kitchen knife, so in the interest of sharing the joy I splashed out and bought her a new one from Bark River.

Given as a leaving present by a friend.
Lucky you, a beautiful piece of kit ☺
While technically only 2 of these really count as knives I thought I'd share them all :P

Time to bring you all back down to earth... well if only briefly
An early NZ Victory knife, only just broken in
Some of the knives shown here could be called 'Art' these days

Hi mate it a gralloch /skinning knife, blade is 14c28n, length of blade 10cm, 3mm wide 25mm Scandi grind, handle is red popular , double dyed.
Moon hunt I have to agree, but theses knives were designed for work, stick a bit of plain cedar on the handle and it still cuts the same.
