I bought a Durston X-Mid 2 solid. Got it to NZ for about $650. It’s just over 1kg and uses trekking poles. Very roomy, but the “footprint” is reasonably large compared to some tents. It does have good sized vestibules for gear.

Is it possible to pitch this fly only and without poles? Like string it up to trees using the extra tie outs?
I would say no you really need the poles or trekking poles and the 4 corners pegged out.
You can pitch the fly only they are super light and a great tent I used mine on the tahr ballot and was impressed.
I brought the poles rather than use trekking poles I put it up on our lawn in a bloody strong wind and was easy to erect in the wind and handled it with ease.
