Phillip, it's a reasonable price, but synth bags are heavy and bulky.
I steer away from Kathmandu, anybody selling "technical" gear with color as a major choice, is a bit suspect
Take a scale and weigh stuff in the store, Bivouac is normally pretty accurate, Macpac slightly more than advertised weight, and Kathmandu - yeah right.
For similar price, I would go with Marmot. Std looks about 200g lighter (allegedly)
Other thing to check is bag sizes compared to your body shape. Around 80cm shoulder width is quite small for me, but if it is a winter bag then snug is not a bad thing.
