About LinkBacksAbsolutely negligible weight difference I'd say. Just did an overnight flycamp with the kids this weekend. It cinches down so tidily on the sides and down from the top. My 85L looked barely a 60L size. Love mine.
Take the time and have somebody help with the measurements needed.
I'd guess the biggest weight saving is probably from having the custom sizing and not a one size fits all adjustable harness system.
