    Spark arrestor on generator

    Would it be assumed that my generator would have a spark arrestor fitted as standard ! Or is it something that I need to get fitted .portable Honda 2 ui . Was a grass fire only a few Ks away from me today and got me thinking . Use my genny most days

    Have a look see up the exhaust with a torch mate.
    Being a honda I'd say it's got one.

    @Munsey I would say it has one. On our Honda pumps and generators it has got some mesh either right at the end of exhaust or just inside.

    Till you know for sure just steal one of your wifes potscrubs (goldilocks are best) stuff 10mm of one end into the exhaust and cut the rest off 20mm out. This was how we used to make certain up the Kaipara in summer. Didn't affect the machine. Great spark arrester.
    We also sat the genny on a piece of corrigated iron
