Thread: Squeaky boots

Got some newish Lowas and the bloody things squeak to the point that my sister's Chihuahua must think they're some kind of rodent and he chases me around yapping at them. I tried using some beeswax on the tongue (that's where the squeaking comes from and it worked for about the first hour now back to squeaking again. I don't want to have to throw them off a bluff in frustration if they start doing it while I'm hunting so any other ideas? I had read you can rough up the leather a bit with some sandpaper but I'm not sure if that's going to be something I regret doing...
